A relatively easy start to the round with a short downhill par 5, the key to hole number 1 is the tee shot, for the shorter hitters make sure you stay left of the big gum on the right hand corner of the fairway. The longer hitters may be tempted to try and fly the big tree with their tee shot, a very high risk reward shot if it comes off, leaving a middle to short iron into a generous green guarded on the front left by a bunker and another bunker positioned over the back to catch out any shots over hit. The place to be if not on the green is short and right, giving you an easier pitch up the green that slopes from front to back.
